as well. robin, thanks for coming on. >> thank you. >>> more legal troubles for jerry sandusky. the former penn state football coach hit with his first civil suit by a man who claims sandusky sexual lay bused him more than 100 times between 1992 and 1996. the unidentified alleged victim is not, not one of the original eight boys that we have been talking about. sandusky has been charged with sexually abusing in the criminal case. like the others, this boy met the coach through his charity, second mile. he was 10 years old. sandusky continues to deny all allegations. marcy hamilton is one of the lawyers representing the alleged victim in this civil case. can you tell us more about your client and what happened to him? >> well, john doe a, his name in this case, had never told a soul about the abuse until he heard about the grand jury report, and as soon as he learned that there were other victims, he was horrified. he felt terrible that he might have been responsible for other children being abused. and so he resolved to come forward and he's really mostly interested in revealing what was r
covering the case from the start. he has details now. >> reporter: good morning, robin. jerry sandusky faces 50 counties of child abuse from 10 young men who say he abused them. the two new charges result in his arrest and a night in jail. jerry sandusky spent the night behind bars, after police escorted him from his home in handcuffs in a penn state track suit. the charge, abusing two more children. >> it's disappointing that the attorney general's office chose to do it this way. jerry's always been willing. and we made it known to the commonwealth, he's been willing to turn himself in. >> reporter: prosecutors demanded $1 million in bail. and reviewed the stories of victims nine and ten. their frightening accounts of a sandusky basement of horrors, at the former defensive coach's ranch-style house in state college, pennsylvania. sandusky told him to stay, unless otherwise directed by sandusky. he ate meals in the basement. and the food, brought to him by sandusky. and there's new details about his wife and where she was when this was allegedly happening just down the stairs. victim n
accused child molester jerry sandusky was supposed to face his accusers in court today, but that did not happen. instead, the former assistant penn state football coach waived his right to a hearing setting the stage for the next step which is a trial. this was a surprise today, david lee miller. >> reporter: there was a great deal of disbelief as well as relief and a little frustration thrown in that the preliminary hearing did not get underway as many had expected. if it had taken place, sandusky would have come face to face with many of his accusers, but minutes after the hearing got underway, the defen attorney told the court that the defendant, jerry sandusky, had agreed to waive the hearing. and that was it, it was over in about five minutes' time. the defense called the decision, and i quote, a tactical move, not cowardice or gamesmanship. they say no way are they conceding any guilt and, in fact, pled not guilty to all 52 charges. for the first time in a public setting, today jerry sandusky spoke out. >> to stay the course, to fight -- we'll have the opportunity to present ou
